Situated at the heart of Aquila’s main reserve lodge, our triple-volume restaurant offers an exquisite safari dining experience coupled with panoramic views of the reserve. Designed in harmony with Aquila’s African-style architecture, the upstairs viewing area and floor-to-ceiling windows provide an ideal vantage point for guests to enjoy a cocktail, beer, or glass of South African wine while watching the sun set beyond the majestic Karoo mountains.

Comfortably seating up to 300 guests, Aquila’s overnight restaurant is the ideal setting for guests to unwind, relax and indulge in Aquila’s buffet-style meals. Dine amidst the wild and spectacular Karoo mountains, overlooking the stunning reserve landscape and fynbos veld. Located next to the expansive grass lawns and pool-side bar, Aquila’s overnight, mezzanine-style dining area opens onto a sunken boma and saltwater infinity pool.

Witness Africa’s iconic Karoo sunsets or enjoy a refreshing afternoon drink on Aquila’s upstairs viewing deck. Located above the main lodge restaurant, overnight safari guests can relax in the lounge area, order drinks from the bar, and share favourite game viewing sights with other safari guests.
