If you’re thinking of booking a South African safari adventure but are unsure of where to start, our booking guide offers a step-by-step guide to help you plan and research an unforgettable big 5 five safari experience.
Aquila Private Game Reserve & Spa offers overnight guests a variety of accommodation options to suit all budgets and preferences. When selecting your accommodation, be sure to consider your group size, how many children will be in your group, your budget, and desired room amenities.
After selecting your overnight or day trip safari package, you can proceed to make a reservation. You may need to provide some personal information and payment details at this stage, so ensure you have your credit card or payment method ready.
Before you finalise your reservation, carefully review all of the booking details, including your accommodation choice, safari activities, chosen dates, and pricing. Make any necessary adjustments at this stage.
Once you are satisfied with your selections, confirm your booking by making the required payment. We offer a variety of payment methods to help make the booking process convenient for travellers. Please note that full payment is required to secure your booking.

Prepare your travel documents and make any necessary travel arrangements, such as flights to Cape Town International Airport (CPT) and transportation to the reserve. Please note: Transport to and from the reserve is not included in your booking.
Guests can choose to self-drive to the reserve or book from our private transport options and standard city transfers, available from R940.00 per person. Aquila’s standard transport options are not available for early morning or sunset safaris.
Pick-up locations are confirmed when booking. Pick-up times are confirmed the night before your trip. Please wait for your driver to contact you.
Guests who have booked for 2 nights or more are welcome to exchange one traditional game drive for a horseback ride through the reserve. To book horseback and quad bike rides, please enquire at reception upon your arrival (subject to weather and availability).
2023 game drive ‘swap rates’ for Horseback and Quad Bike Tours:
Spa treatments and spa access are not included in our rates. Spa access is free for guests who have booked for two nights or more, or who book a spa treatment to a certain value. Spa access is also available from R280 per person. To book a spa treatment, simply head to Tranquila Spa upon your arrival. Our friendly staff will be happy to assist.
