| All
cottages have en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, ceiling fans,
fireplaces (perfect for the Cape winter) and mini-bars.
The honeymoon suite
boasts a Jacuzzi with spectacular views across the Reserve.
The purity of the night sky has been
described by one visitor as: "A bouquet of diamonds
as I have never seen before."
Conference Centre, Boma Restaurant and Cigar Bar:
The Conference Centre, Boma Restaurant & Cigar Bar,
as with the Premier Cottages, are built from natural materials
found on the Reserve such as rocks, river pebbles, reeds, wood
and thatch to blend with the surrounding environment. The natural
setting will afford the Conference delegate a tranquil ambience
in which to host functions such as Annual General Meetings,
teambuilding courses, product launches, etc.
The Conference Centre can comfortably accommodate 40-80 delegates
for a myriad of function formats.
"To marry the external beauty of the Reserve with the Conference facility was paramount in the
design, layout and overall feel," says Searl Derman, owner
of Aquila.
Non-denominational Chapel
Plans are presently under way to construct a non-denominational
Chapel with an entire wall of glass and stained glass which
will be the focal point of the Chapel and also the backdrop
to the beauty and panoramic expanse of the Reserve. Aquila is
soon to be set as a unique and unparalleled wedding destination
due to the intimate Chapel, wide-open spaces, majestic mountains,
rivers, valleys and kloofs.
Cuisine
Aquila offers a truly South African culinary experience
that affords a varied menu to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. |
